As some of you might be aware, the tourism-based economy here in Bali has been devastated by the Covid-19 outbreak. A significant portion of the population is earning less than they were two years ago. Countless numbers of people in Bali have fallen into poverty during the pandemic. With this, many poorer families, indirectly dependent on tourism, are now limited to only two meals a day.
In response to this humanitarian crisis, the Rotary Club of Bali Seminyak (RCBS) has initiated a Food Distribution Program, which distributes small meals called ‘Nasi Jinggo’ to the needy. At the moment, the RCBS is targeting individuals who live in and around the Seminyak area, workers in recycling or landfill areas who often live on site and the elderly in the Karangasem Regency, where the RCBS has a Rotary International Global Grant project for Water Sanitation Solutions.

The RCBS members have distributed 1,250 meals during the month of September. With further donations, the RCBS hopes to be able to distribute food every two weeks.
The Rotary Club of Bali Seminyak asks you to help by donating for this timely and worthy cause of helping hungry people.
