–Rtns. Detlev and Lusi’s special Sunday brunch with guest cook Mariella was a big success with 70 guests attending. IDR. 10,115,000 raised for the Smile Foundation. –Rtn. Peter Erni reported about the Goat trip to Nusa Penida by 16 members and friends.
-CP Patrick spoke about reviving the Rotaractor Club Bali,Seminyak and introduced Putra Jaya (“Coco”), 35 years old, office manager. He will initiate the new RCBS Rotaractor Club at the beginning of July, 2014.
–Welcome Back: – Rtn. Marie Francois is back at our meetings again, and fit!!.
– Paul Harris certificate and badge was presented by P.Raphael to Rtn. Jorge for his generous donation to TRF of US$ 1,000. Rtn. Jorge gave a brief speech about his art projects.
-The Rotary Foundation (EREY) : $ 4,100 has been raised so far. Still 18 members have not given!
– Visiting Rtn. Mike Bundy from the Republic of South Africa, RC Empangeni, Zululand (District 9370) exchanged banners with RCBS.
–Visiting Rtn. Ruth Stapleton exchanged her banner from RC Rosanna, District 9790, Australia. (Rtn. Ruth also generously donated IDR 500,000 to our club for her lunch).
– Rtn. Catharina has generously donated IDR. 1,000,000 towards the Scholarship fund and IDR.1,000,000 towards the Micro Credit Goat project to sponsor 2 goats.
–Guest speaker: Rtn. Ruth Stapleton from RC Rosanna in Australia. ( Rtn. Ruth and her husband, Rtn. Peter Little ,had previously donated RP. 2.5 million Rupiah towards the library book project in local schools. Rtn. Ruth is also a Paul Harris Fellow plus 5, which means that she has donated US$6,000 to the Rotary Foundation.). Rtn. Ruth gave a fascinating account of her work distributing mosquito nets in Timor-Leste , as every 30 seconds there is one death in the world from malaria.
-Raffle: A box of gourmet chocolates was kindly donated by Rt. Ruth and won by Rtn. Helmut.
