Roy specializes in solutions for independent and alternative hotel businesses such as family-owned hotels and resorts. Having studied hotel management and being certified in Practical Psychology (HAK), Financial Management and Hotel Real Estate & Asset Management (Cornell), Roy is also seen as an expert in leadership, pre-openings, renovations, market-segment optimization and competitive repositioning. As member of the German-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Roy lectured at a vocational school in Portugal and was an active member of the board of examinors.

Having lived in some of the world’s most unique destinations, including the Maldives, Fiji and Indonesia, Roy appreciates traveling, spending time with his son Joshua and engaging in community services with the Rotary Club of Bali Seminyak (RCBS), where he serves as Club Treasurer and Chairperson Public Image since early 2021.

Roy has initiated the COVID-19 Relief Fund for RCBS and is the Project Coordinator for the ongoing Community Food Drives, where the Rotary Club of Bali Seminyak fortnightly distributes meal packages, called “Nasi Bungkus”, to destitute community members in and around Bali’s Seminyak/Legian/Kuta area.
