The “Have-a-Heart” Fundraiser (No. 2) held on 10th April, 2015 in the Trans Resort, Jalan Sunset, Seminyak.

A total of 204 people attended the second “Have a Heart” fundraiser held in the brand New Trans Resort, Jalan Sunset, Seminyak, and the grand sum of IDR 272,000,000 (approx.US$20,500) was raised for Yayasan Senyum (The Smile Foundation)

As the elegantly dressed guests arrived, they moved across the plush lobby entrance to check in with the ‘Have a Heart’ reception team .... PP. Robin and Rtns. Maureen and Tineke ..

before having their photos taken in front of the

amazing logo board prepared by Rtn. Tara and The Trans Resort staff.

Thereafter, the guests ascended the escalator to the long ante-room with free cocktails for a kick off start to the evening. As they moved deeper into the ante room, they passed Rtn. Yan, Rtn Sally and the Smile Foundation girls who were selling raffle tickets for the amazing list of donated prizes.

They also had a chance to check out PE. Barbara’s Silent Auction tables and perhaps even place a bid

on one or more of the fabulous auction items on offer.

At 6.30 pm the dinner bell was rung, the huge ballroom doors were opened and all guests moved into the beautifully decorated ballroom and sat at their assigned tables.

An army of smartly dressed waiters then arrived to take drink orders from the sharply discounted drinks list. Alternatively, guests could simply enjoy the two donated bottles of Cape Discovery wine per table.

Thereafter the MC for the evening, AG. Suzanna Chandra, asked all the guests to stand for the singing of the Indonesia National Anthem.

Later as dinner commenced, Pres. Doris and Hon. Member Mary Northmore made speeches using visual displays on the two big screens at the front of the ballroom and this was followed by the drawing of the door prize.

After the Guests had enjoyed their dessert and coffee/tea, they got ready for the highlight of the evening..... the Musical Cabaret. The ‘Have A Heart’ fundraising team had specially flown in two professional cabaret singers, Sandra and Michael, from Hong Kong to be the featured entertainment of the evening.

Right on cue, Sandra and Michael made a stunning entrance into the darkened ballroom and then sang wonderful musical numbers that took everyone down memory lane. By also circulating amongst the tables, singing and talking to the guests they generated an amazing rapport and were

enthusiastically applauded. After 45 minutes of singing they retired, but returned for a final encore number and received a standing ovation from the guests.

The cabaret was quickly followed by the live auction, during which Rtn. Kerry Ball, the auctioneer, inspired bidders to spend even more money with his great sense of humour.

The Raffle prizes were then drawn and the results were posted onto the big screens and lists were delivered to the tables. The winners were invited to collect their prizes from the “Special Table” manned by PN Marie-Francoise and Rtn. Yasmina.

PE Barbara then announced the lucky winners of the silent auction prizes.

Just before the the 4-person live band started to play, 2nd VP John asked for his ‘Have a Heart’ organizing team to join him on the stage so that he could publicly thank them for their tremendous efforts and dedication in organizing such a spectacularly successful evening.

He also made special mention of Rtn. Florian and Rtn. Edgar, who had worked tirelessly at the back of the ballroom making sure that the lighting, sound and the big screens went as planned and PP. Raphael and his team for their hard work accounting behind the scenes.

Guests enjoyed the rest of the evening, dancing away to the sounds of the live- band.
