2004 and Putu has now had 4 repairs. Lip, soft palate, joining his upper jaw and cosmetic repair to correct his nose. Unfortunately the parents didn't take the free transport to have his stiches removed in Denpasar. They were removed locally-too early - with the result you can see.
A pleasant 1km walk through bamboo groves brought us to a family compound where cousins in ajorning houses both have cleft lips. 2 more for the waiting list!
