- invited Visiting Rotarian, O. P. Khanna to introduce his MANY MEMBERS and their spouses.

Rtn. Khanna then took a few minutes and gave our members a glimpse into some of projects undertaken by his Club and their District:

• Cancer Hospice - where everyone receives 5 star treatment.
• Youth Dropout Vocational Training
• Eyesight Clinic
• Free Heart Valve Bank
• Provide facilities and equipment for 12 schools
• Provide free heart surgery

Banners were exchanged and Rtn. Khanna invited all the RCBS members to visit India as their guests at any time.

- thanked PE Robert K. for filling in for SAA Mari last week. AND PLEASE remember to donate a Raffle Prize ...... this helps us earn a nice little amount every week for our Projects.

- thanked Darryl Marsden, General Manager of the Hard Rock Hotel, for again organizing this year their very successful  Rock n' Run - the 9th Chapter - which took place on Sunday, 4 October . And gave a special thanks to IPP Urs and Rtn. Virginie for ensuring that this Rp. 60 million donation came our way !!!  These funds will be given to the Smile House Foundation so that they will be able to coordinate Cleft Lip/Palate operations here in Bali.

- thanked T Peter & CP Patrick for organizing the Club's next  Fellowship Activity - Ten Pin Bowling Challenge - with our Southern Cousins, the RC of Bali Nusa Dua . This will take place on Tuesday, 10 November at 18:00 at the Paradiso Bowling & Billiard Centre located in Tuban. Cheerleaders welcomed ........

- reminded the members to make a note in their diaries that the Club will be having its AGM / Holiday Dinner Party on 16 December at the Anantara Resort - more details to follow.

- ask members to please consider nominating one or more of their fellow members for the 2009 - 2010 Board of Directors. PE Robert K. has the nomination forms and will be responsible for collecting the names and making the Official Ballot for the AGM. If a member is unable to attend the AGM, an "Absentee Ballot" will be provided before the voting takes place. Please note that a member can ONLY run for one position.

- reminded the Club that Rtn. Virginie is collecting 2ND HAND CLOTHES for the SMILE SHOP.  All proceeds will go for Cleft Lip/Palate Operations.   A BOX will be left in our Meeting room each week for your donations. LET'S do some Autumn Closet Cleaning and bring in those clothes you haven't worn forever.

- informed the members that she will be in the UK until the end of November and has asked VP Handy, PE Robert and IPP Urs to kindly chair the weekly meetings in her absence. The November Board meeting will be postponed until 2 December.

* Rtn. Chris thanked PP Mark for his information regarding the donation of a bike for some workers.

Because this was the FIRST meeting of the month, we had a "Club Assembly."

The Raffle Prize,  a SPA Voucher for two from the Samaya Spa , was won by P Patricia and donated by Rtn. Ray.
