Fight the Bite – Media Launch

Rotary Bali

In 2014 there were over 8,000 documented cases of dengue in Bali, and in the first four months of 2015 alone there has been over 4,000 reported cases and the figures are increasing rapidly. Rotary Seminyak initiated the Dengue Awareness Project in 2014 with sponsorship from Kasih Ibu Hospital. The “Fight the Bite” campaign is targeted towards the English speaking population of Bali in an effort to generate awareness of the increasingly dangerous and prevalent dengue virus caused by mosquitos. On March 22, 2016 the RCBS will host the official media launch of the project at the Trans Resort from 4:00-6:00PM. The main purpose of this launch is to inform members of the media, who will be present at the event, about this vital campaign in hopes that they will spread the campaign’s information through their various media channels. Also a big thank you will be commended to all those who have helped with this project: the dengue committee, our major sponsor Kasih Ibu, and other groups that have helped us to promote this project.

Guest Speakers will include:

Dr. I Ketut Agus Somia, SpPD KPTI (Udayana University and Kashi Ibu Hospital) Rotarians Jannell Lee and Anita Lococo Refreshments and light snacks will be served. Please RSVP to:anitalococo@yahoo.com
